For Immediate Release:

The Norwalk Student Education Foundation (NSEF) has approved the distribution of $250 per Norwalk Professional Learning Community (PLC) team for this school year. A professional learning community team, or PLC team, is a group of educators that meets regularly, shares expertise, and works collaboratively to improve teaching skills and the academic performance of students.

Historically, NSEF has generously donated funds each year that are used to support teacher wish lists or PLC funding. Norwalk Schools K-12 buildings currently have 41 PLC teams. Each PLC team will receive a $250 donation making NSEF’s total donation $10,250 for this school year.

The Norwalk Community School District is very appreciative of NSEF’s continued support of our teachers, students and staff! Their work directly impacts the learning environment of our students and helps support the district’s mission of Growing Learners and Leaders.

The Norwalk Student Education Foundation (NSEF) is an independent community organization dedicated to providing resources to enhance the educational experiences and opportunities for students and teachers in the Norwalk School District. NSEF is a 501(c)3 tax-exempt organization where funding is solely dependent on community support that allows the organization to give back to Norwalk teachers and students.
